Last day of August

We can't wait until Wednesday when we have the disco. Ours will be at lunchtime but we get to wear mufti all day.
Today in Kiwi Can we talked about being accountable. Make sure we are doing this at home too. We had a puppet show that helped us to understand what being accountable means. Today's tiki people were Amelia and Nick.
Next week we have a skate trip to Tekapo. Thats going to be lots of fun. We go up in buses and we go next Tuesday.

Eggcellent Egg sitters

Well only 5 eggs made it through the week. These 5 are eggspert egg sitters.

Mrs Willox

It was Mrs Willox's last day with us today. We have enjoyed having her in our classroom and wish her all the best. Maybe one day she will be back teaching at Highfield.
We have had some eggs that have cracked or been scrambled. Watch out next week for the winning eggsitters. We will put a photo of them on to here.

KOS

Mrs Hocking and Mrs Cooper have been teaching us about keeping ourselves safe. We have been practicing statements like "Stop.......I don't like it!" Today we got to using the telephone to ring 111 and also created our "egg people". We have to egg sit them for a week. It means we have to look after them very carefully so none of them become scrambled.

Monday 10 August

Today we went to Kiwi Can again. We used our groups to role play honesty situations. It was a shame that we didn't have a video to share them with you. .....WE WERE GREAT, Stars in the making!

Thursday

We don't have to come to school tomorrow as it is a Teacher Only Day.
Madison broke her arm at school yesterday. She has her arm in a cast, just like Bailey G's used to be as he got his cast off last Friday.

Wednesday

Today we started looking at writing instructions. It is very tricky for us because we have to make sure we put the method steps into the right order.

We go to the hall for gym fun. Yesterday we got to walk along the high beam and jump off.
