Windy Wednesday

Today we went to the hall and did JUMP JAM. It was fun. Rooms 8 and 11 came along too.

This afternoon we use charcoal to draw trees out in the playground. Before we got to use the charcoal we drew pictures of a bike using special drawing pencils. This is called sketching and we had to use yo yo eyes.

For Maths we are looking at weight and today we estimated how heavy some grocery items were. We used sand to try and make the same weight again. Another activity was working out how heavy some parcels were.

  2. A note did come home about suitable containers for the water and maths capacity topic. Some children did bring things they found that were 1kg. This was part of the homework this week - question 2 and also a result from Tuesday's maths where all children were having great difficulty in estimating things that would weigh 1kg. Some decided that bringing something they found at home would be useful.
Sorry for any confusion. You can always ring or send an email to sort any confustion in the future.

Everybody does need to check they have a pencil, rubber and a glue stick. A large number of children are needing to borrow from others. :)
